Mentor Programme

During my first year as a beekeeper I felt lost and confused, most of the time.

There was the initial excitement when my bees arrived followed by abject terror as I was left to sort them out and troubleshoot my way through the summer. I spent a lot of time working through books, videos, asking people questions and getting myself in a thorough muddle - I even froze at the hives a few times with overwhelm and was stung more times than I like to recall.

What I would have given to have had a hands-on mentor, guiding me and answering all my ‘silly’ questions.

So that’s what I offer here. This portal will provide access to seasonal guidance and useful information as you move through the year but the mentor programme also comes with face to face help from me, Stacy, either via video call or in person (location dependant). You’ll also receive messages and check-ins via WhatsApp (or text if you prefer) where I’m on hand to answer all the questions you have.

This membership is best suited to your first year or two beekeeping and to get the most from it, once you have your bees too.

What people are saying

Stacy was my mentor for my first couple of years of beekeeping. She was always there, willing to pop over if I was not sure what to do. She advised me on the best place to site my hive. When I found my hive was queenless, she helped me find and introduce a new queen. She answered every 'newbee' question with patience and her calm approach helped me overcome my nerves when handling the bees.
